Tracks & Tales Nature School is pleased to offer a weekly class for our parents and community.
Presented by Natalie Rivera-Esperance, the Kamana Connection Group will meet weekly starting the week of June 14th, 2010. Here is Natalie's description of this group:
Kamana Connection Group
I am proud to participate in this fall's Rite of Passage in Nature Connection for us.
My intentions for this time is to provide a space where those who are committed and passionate about nature and community to come and learn together. I will be facilitating the individualized learning journeys of each participant by utilizing the exercises and techniques from the Kamana Home Study Course available from the Wilderness Awareness School.
By learning as much as you can about the natural world you will be creating an effective mentor for your child to find their own gifts, create connections to nature and community, and to live from their hearts. Congratulations for taking the steps towards being a conscious mentor and community builder for our future generations.

Your participation in the Kamana Connection Group can take many forms.
* The official Kamana Certification through Wilderness Awareness School.
For this you can order your own copy of Kamana One from wildernessawareness.org and use the Kamana Connection Group as a committed amount of time for practice and study.
* Choose your own adventure!
Come with your favorite field guides, natural history book, nature journal etc.
Come to share stories of what you observed in nature, play the awareness games, and absorb the community learning vibes. Your presence and engagement will be an amazing resource for us all.
* Tracks and Tales Apprentice
We wish for the folks helping us out during class time to have some basics in their tool bag. These will include simple journal pages of hazards, plants, trees, mammals, and birds. Experience in core routines: sit spot, fox walking, owl eyes, art of questioning, storytelling, sense meditation. The apprenticeship will be designed to be accomplished during Kamana Connection Group time. The only outside of class time commitment will be the sit spot, which is insanely flexible with insane schedules. Hurray!
